Youtubing it Up

Wednesday, August 29th 2007, Wake up time: 10:25am


Breakfast was a healthy choice of doughnuts that I picked up from Dunkin' Doughnuts. I had a Boston Kreme and Choco Frosted. After breakfast, I went on youtube for a while. Youtube was a new phenomena for me. I wanted to re-watch my favourites of British comedy. I also discovered a new youtube show... 'We Need Girlfriends'. It's a show about three guys who have just moved out of college and have all been dumped by the only girls they've ever been with. All the episodes are up on youtube...so go watch it now! It's classic and I love the character's story. I also discovered a band (Plushgun) as some of their music and other independent artists music is used in later episode. Check out 'Just Impolite.' You should thank me for how cultured I have made you. 


After watching a couple of episodes, I played LOTR on Lyle's computer and then went on the trampoline with Katelyn and Claire. Bev's brother Chris came round for a quick visit and after socialising with him, I went back to Youtube. I wanted to re-watch Extras...a show by Ricky Gervais which I dearly missed from the United Kingdom. It's such a British style of humour... risqué jokes, awkward pauses and casual racism. All meant in good humour of course! I was getting pretty hungry, so I had a late lunch of hot dogs and cucumber.


After lunch, Bev and I left with Claire to watch her 'soccer' game. She played with a girl's team and she did like playing it. They didn't win though :( and Claire wasn't happy! We got back about 7pm and had a small dinner of bread and grapes (as I had only recently had the hot dogs) while watching some television. The main show we watched was America's Next Top Model...Claire's favourite before finishing the evening off with a lovely slice of chocolate cake. Youtube was going to become a serious addiction...
