Unpleasant Swimming Experience

Monday, August 27th 2007, Wake up time: 9:35am 


We were going to a lake for the day with Bev's mother. We got our stuff together, lunch, towels and swimwear and we went to pick up Nana. We also picked up some chairs to take with us, so we had something comfortable to sit on. 


We arrived at the lake and I had lunch of peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and also ham and mozzarella cheese sandwiches, it was delicious! For desert, we had cheese doodles and peanut butter cookies. 


Claire, Lyle and I then went swimming...it was very cold! We played in the water, and Claire thought it would be funny to put the small rocks from the bottom of the lake in my hair! It was rather annoying but we had fun and a laugh. We got out for a while, and I attempted reading the most boring book in the world Mayflower. I didn't get very far, and I was putting it off. Bev insisted I read it though as I needed to for class and there would be some sort of test on it. Despite this, I gave up after a couple of pages and went back in the water with Claire.


This time, Claire and I did flips in the water and I lifted her a couple of times which she enjoyed. We swam for a while and then packed up and left for home. On the way home, we stopped for ice-cream, moose tracker (which was a peanut butter ice-cream.) We arrived home and I had a shower (to get all the rocks out my hair!) Bev's friend Pam came round for a cup of coffee and I renewed my library books online before dinner. 


Dinner was mac and cheese with chicken and cucumber. After dinner, I went to Walmart with Claire to pick up some Reece's Peanut Butter Cups. I was starting to get addicted to them! I got to ride on the electronic scooter we had purchased from Eben's family before they moved away. It wasn't super fast, but it made the journey fun! An interesting end to a lovely day out.
