A Comb, A Water Gun, Some Bubbles and a Ring

Tuesday, August 28th 2007, Wake up time: 11:15am

We woke up and got bags packed as we were going to Hampton Beach for the day. It was quite a long drive as it's in New Hampshire, so we had to go into a different state. We eventually arrived and I had some fried mozzarella sticks and a root beer which I enjoyed on the beach.

I then went for a swim (how typical). After swimming for a while and wrestling with Lyle and Claire in the water, we walked up to the arcades. There were a number of games there to win prizes on, including the very fun skee ball...which is similar to bowling, but you roll the ball up and attempt to get into any of the holes marked out with points. After getting the hang of it, I quickly racked up a decent score. I then played some mini basketball and finished with some electronic poker. They were games where you could win tickets...and I won enough to swap them for the grand prize of a comb, a rubbish water gun, blowing bubbles and plastic rings!

After the arcade adventures, I tried my first corn dog. We can't get them in the United Kingdom and they are delicious! It's a hot dog in batter basically...cornmeal batter (hence the name). I also tried some of Claire's fried dough.  After the delicious snack, we went swimming again before taking a walk and I had some pecan ice-cream before leaving for home.

Upon arriving home, we had dinner of carrots and burgers and some popcorn for desert. After dinner, Claire and I bounced on the trampoline and had a good talk for a couple of hours. I finished the evening off with some classic British comedy of Only Fools and Horses...which made me miss British television and our dry humour. :( It's one thing I can't quite love about America...they're just not as funny as us.

Thanks for listening.
