I woke up pretty late into the morning and came down to the delicious smell of waffles and bacon. Once again, Lyle did the strange thing of putting maple syrup on his bacon, a habit I will never understand. Lyle's Grandma wanted to get some groceries, so we headed into the local town to pick some up after a rather delicious breakfast.
When we returned, I wanted to watch another film. We popped in Indian in the Cupboard, a film about a boy who's cupboard makes little toys come to life. Quite a charming fantasy film. We didn't quite finish it as we sat down for lunch of Vermont ham sandwiches...delicious.
We carried on watching the rest of the film and then Lyle and I went outside to help out with the weeding. However, due to the extreme heat and the bugs we didn't actually do much of our job! We hurried inside, sweating and then I suggested we watch yet another film. In weather like this, there was literally nothing better to do. We watched Johnny English, which is a Rowan Atkinson comedy about a spy who's not particularly very good at his job. It's an okay film with some funny moments.
It was now dinner time, the days were practically rushing by! We had spaghetti and meatballs with Paul Newman's very own sauce! Paul Newman was an actor and he set up his own sauce brand and gave all the money away to charity. A great man. After the delicious meal, we finished off the evening with MORE television. Can you see a pattern developing here?
Thanks for listening.
