I headed to school, learning my script on the way, the ultimate sign of procrastination in a person! I was meant to learn a lot of it over the weekend, but was clearly too busy. I had rehearsal after school and I needed to be ready by then! It became a regular habit, as I had directed study before my rehearsal, to learn my script during that hour before rehearsal...brilliant!
My first lesson was maths, where we did about probabilities. However, I found it dull so I decided to draw a small picture of a boat sinking... I signed it Wallis because it was my work of art. I still have that picture somewhere, it's pretty amazing. In Drama, we finally performed my scene, which went well, but in retrospect I could have picked a better song to go with the scene.
I followed up drama with a history lesson, where we marked each others work...I then had to do an essay for American Literature...which was very dull! This was followed by a psychology lesson, where we were told we'd have a quiz after lunch. During lunch, Virginia and I revised together for the small quiz...which actually wasn't as bad as we expected it to be!
I headed off to gym, where I skipped working out for learning my lines instead. I then went to film class where we began watching the 'Wizard of Oz'. The general idea was that we'd watch one film thoroughly, do an essay, but watch a film just for pleasure that linked to the essay film, hence watching The Great Dictator after Modern Times. Wizard of Oz was our next essay film. I'd never realised how good a film it was, but it really is a classic! People should take it more seriously, and Judy Garlands future life was just so upsetting...
After class, I had rehearsal, which I'd been dreading all day! It actually went quite well, and I remembered most of the lines I'd hurriedly learnt. Unfortunately, they were stored in my short term memory, so I forgot them by the next day! I needed to keep running them to learn them..it's just how I learn lines. Rehearsal went quite well, but it was long! I didn't finish until 5:30. I headed home, but stopped in Sweet Sue's briefly to see Cecille and Julia. I got home, and tackled my maths homework and then having a nap before dinner. Dinner was roast beef and I then did the dishes as it was my week. I finished the evening off by doing my literature homework and glancing at my script ;)
Thanks for listening.
