Tuesday, October 9th 2007, Wake up time: 6:25am
I woke up earlier than usual, and got myself some lunch of pasta to take to school. I got to school and went to my first lesson, which was American history. The activity for the class was a debate. We divided the class into two so the debate was staged on each side of the class. I then headed to algebra, where we marked our worksheets and learnt some new equations.
In English class we had a substitute teacher...I will always pity them, as students are universally dicks to them. In psychology, we got our grades back for the term so far, I was averaging a B+ which was pretty good! Lunch was the pasta with barbecue sauce that I'd made...but it was a little soggy and didn't taste too good, which was a shame.
In gym class, I exercised away! I was getting myself in good shape. I then went to film class, where we were handed essay questions on The Wizard of Oz. I was planning to do a review for one of my essays. Essentially, we were set two essays to do, but if we did a review on a film that was deemed worthwhile or of merit. We could write a review on said film and get a straight A on one of the essays. It was really good if you were struggling with a second question. I tried to not do it too much, as I saw it as an easy way out of work! I only did it three times over the year, so that was pretty good! I had decided to go see Across the Universe the next day, as this was one of the films on the essay exception list.
After school, I hung out as usual with Talia, Alex, Cecille and Luke. I then resigned myself to the walk home as I wanted to get started on one of the film essays for Wizard of Oz. I got home and started on the essay. I then called mother, as we hadn't spoken in a while, but she was out. I did more work but quickly retried getting in touch with mum. Luckily, she was in this time around so I had a catchup talk with her and my dad. It was dinner time, so I said my goodbyes and sat down to hot dogs, beans and carrots.
After dinner, I walked Claire to Art Class as it was dark at night at this time of the year. I then came home briefly before leaving for Tae Kwon Do. I hadn't gone much, as it didn't enthuse me like it used to...but I still went enough to get my value for money (or my mum's value!) On the way to the class, I used the bus ride to learn lines for my character. At Tae Kwon Do, I learnt some new blocks and then it was time to come back. For some reason, the bus ride took a very long time! I used the time to learn some more of my lines...I didn't have a huge amount but I had many big blocks of speech. On arriving home, I finished my film essay, which made me feel very happy and then cleaned the kitchen, before heading to bed.
Thanks for listening.
