Good Films, Bad Films

Monday, September 3rd 2007, Wake up time: 9:40am

I woke up and watched The Matrix. I then called Mum as we hadn't talked in a while. I then watched part of The Matrix Reloaded, as I wanted to watch the first two back to back. I took a walk to Newbury Comics as I wanted to spend my allowance.

got to Newbury Comics and I bought Pulp Fiction as I hadn't seen it yet...shocking I know! I returned home and called Alex as I wanted to hang out with him again before I started school. Alex would be at the middle school and I'd be at the High School, so it wouldn't be easy for us to hang out so much. I then called Don Purcell about more yard work. It was just after one, so I had a plain pizza for lunch (cheese and tomato).

I watched the rest of The Matrix Reloaded and Lyle didn't have The Matrix Revolutions.Lyle and I then took a walk to the film store to rent some films for the evening. We rented The Burbs which was a comedy about people in the Suburbs, starring Tom Hanks and Carrie Fisher. Lyle also wanted to pick up The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen which isn't a terrible film, but compared to the original novel it's pretty awful.

We got home and we watched The Burbs but I didn't pay enough attention to enjoy it. Another thing I've been reminded to watch again by doing this blog. After the film, we had chicken nuggets for dinner and then I got some popcorn before settling down to watch Pulp Fiction and the special features. It is a very clever film and it is enjoyable each time I watch it. There is one bad thing in the film which I cannot discuss! If you've seen the film, you'll know what I mean and then it'll be amusing. It's a pretty long film though and so by the time it was over, I was pretty beat so I headed to bed.

Thanks for listening.
