British Humour

Friday, September 7th 2007, Wake up time: 6:45am

I got up at the same time for another day. I took $8 from Bev for an Agenda Book (like a planner) to write my work in and other reminders. I arrived at school but there wasn't any agenda books available, so I headed to Home Room. While in Home Room, I printed off my English Homework which I had forgotten to print the night before. I then headed to my first American History Class.

Class was essentially just another meet and greet, my teacher Mr. Sancinito. He was also the football coach, but an exception to the rule that all sport teachers are stupid! He asked me a couple of questions about what history I'd learnt in England, and how it was different. Most people were very interested in me, it made me feel very special.

I then had maths, we solved a handshake problem. We had to answer if this many people shook hands with each other, how many hands would be shook...using formulae, you get the idea. With maths lessons (I refuse to call it 'math') I found I was always quite tired after my first lesson, so I would sleep through the second...it was pretty bad but a routine that I kept up even when I changed classes. In retrospect, I wish I hadn't but it's too late now! After maths, I had English and we played another name game as some people still hadn't been introduced. Lessons so far seem pretty easy! I assure you it was just because it was the first week! For some stupid reason we were coming in for two days and then it would be the weekend, but I wasn't complaining. It did make the transition back to school quite easy.

I, for some reason, then went to lunch...once again too early. I had hot dog with chips before going to Psychology and giving my poster in. I used my British charm to get me out of trouble for going to early to lunch ;). After Psychology, I had French which was just dull and I wasn't paying any attention to what was being said (not that I could understand it). I then had directed study...which was actually fun as I met Alison Hall and Andrew Clark, both people who would become good friends over the year. I made them laugh with my politically incorrect British Humour and racy jokes...e.g. "It's not rape if you yell surprise!'. Honestly, don't even ask.

After directed study, I went to visit Sharon again to talk about my day...this became a regular occurrence and I even developed a school boy crush on her! A little embarrassing, but cute? Maybe not! I met a girl who I went to Tae Kwon Do with and I then took the walk home. Upon arriving home, I watched the rest of Scarface which ended with a total of 223 uses of the word fuck...brilliant.

Dinner was tortellini and meatballs and then I went to the park with Claire and Katelyn to watch the fireworks which were in celebration of Town Day. We watched the fireworks before heading home. Once at home, I watched an Aerosmith video and watched the news with Ralph. I could stay up later as it was Friday night and therefore I didn't have school the next day, which was Town Day and something I was looking forward to!

Thanks for listening.
